Memory/Dementia Care

Angels On Duty is proud to offer Memory/Dementia in-home care for St. Charles County, St. Louis County, Warren County, and Lincoln County. Memory care or dementia care is a type of specialized care designed to assist individuals with various forms of memory impairment, including but not limited to Alzheimer’s disease. This can also include other types of dementia or cognitive disorders.

Dementia is a broad term used to describe a range of symptoms associated with a decline in cognitive function severe enough to interfere with daily life. It’s not a specific disease but rather a general term for a decline in mental ability.

Symptoms of dementia can include:

  • Memory loss: Difficulty remembering recent events or conversations.
  • Difficulty with problem-solving:  Challenges in planning, organizing, or completing tasks.
  • Confusion: Disorientation regarding time, place, or identity.
  • Language problems: Trouble finding the right words or following conversations.
  • Changes in mood or behavior: Unusual changes in personality or behavior.

Angels On Duty provides assistance with daily activities, structured routines, social activities, and therapeutic interventions aimed at improving quality of life. Our focus is to provide a safe and supportive environment that caters to the needs of individuals with memory issues.
