The History of Angels On Duty
Angels On Duty, Inc. how it all began.

When my grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, I made the decision to bring her into our home. At the time, I was serving as the Director of a major home health company in St. Louis, and my grandmother required around-the-clock care. Despite my professional background, I found that I could not manage her care alone and needed additional support.
On one occasion, I spoke with my grandmother and her caregiver, Joan. When I inquired about my grandmother’s night, she responded, “I had an Angel On Duty.” At that stage of her illness, my grandmother often struggled to communicate, so this response was particularly significant. It confirmed that Joan was providing the exceptional care my grandmother needed.
The experience of needing help and bringing a caregiver into one’s home is never something we plan for. This consideration influences my approach when interviewing potential employees. I continually ask myself, “Would I feel comfortable having this individual in my home with my grandmother all day?”
My hope is for you to experience the same level of care that I did, with a caregiver who is not only compassionate and attentive but also exceeds your expectations. It is my goal for Angels On Duty to deliver care that is both exemplary and deeply fulfilling.
